 Hopeful Time Cover Page After watching Ron Paul carefully in congress for about five years now I have come to a different place in my hope for politics in the United States. Like millions of others in America I have long lost confidence in the system and have had no solid candidates to vote for who are men of integrity liberty and justice. All those who have had any chance of winning any major election in the US or Canada for a long time have been people willing to listen first to big business and not the everyday working people. So many of these promised real changes but in the end only gave us lip service in focusing on a few surface issues. Over time Federalism has grown out of control and so has the US debt. This debt is irresponsible and we need to make a fundamental change back to our roots to root out the problem.
Click below to go to my Ron Paul Sign Page As a philosopher espousing commonsense realism, I have watched Dr. Ron Paul carefully and am more than excited to see him at the end of his life run for President. Ron has long used commonsense to guide him in his voting record as congressman, even when everyone else has voted in another direction. Here we find not only someone who is totally predictable and consistent in holding up the constitution as the wise law of the land, but likewise someone who is realistic in seeking to address the needs of the people of his country. While we all witness more and more the moral and political failings of other leaders in the US government here we find one man who critics have nothing bad to say about him. Their only objections to him amount to a rejection of the philosophy of the founding fathers and our constitution! Yet the evidence amounts to proof that the philosophy of present political theory and practice, in rejection to the ideals this nation was founded upon, has only ruined this country and resulted in the very things the founding fathers warned against.
As I converse with many people across North America I find a lot of indifference. Many have lost confidence in the media and their governments. Many have shut off the TV and are not even paying attention to politics, as they feel modern politicians are just greedy liars and they cannot do anything about it. This sentiment is so widely felt that a few years ago a political scientist at Britain's University of Strathclyde conducted a study and concluded that lying is an important part of politics in the modern democracy.
"Politicians need to be more honest about lying," he told Britian's Observer newspaper.

This lying is so widespread and out of control that so many people have lost confidence in the system. So what can be done to correct this and restore confidence? While things remain the same there is no hope. Fundamental change is in order. This lying has to stop and politicians must become accountable. The people are responsible for the actions of those they vote for. If the people would vote for men of integrity and not vote for anyone but men of integrity then liars and thieves would not be acknowledged and would not be nominated by the major parties. The real problem is that the masses are easily deceived by showy appearances and false promises. Big money and big entertainment rule the day. If you are the person to prosper big business then big business will give you all the money needed to put you in power and give you all the resources you need to appear to be for the interests of the people. The game goes on and on and just leads the masses into disillusionment. The trick is that the masses always are fooled by the prospect of change. So they bounce back and forth from one party to the other every eight years or so because they do not see that there is no essential difference between them in reference to the essential issues and the real needs of the hour.
At this very moment I experienced another case in point. Someone just entered the room and expressed the same "skepticism" about all politicians. This older friend is a typical American evangelical Christian. They said they would be waiting for Ron Paul to "fall from grace" and were not very hopeful that he would be any different from the rest who have disappointed them. They said they would take a look later on. So it is my objective to confront such people with the facts about Ron Paul (he has the most impeccable record and there is no reason to doubt him).
In contrast to this conversation I just got off the phone with another disillusioned evangelical friend who was very encouraged with my report about Ron Paul. He had brushed testimony about him off before when another friend brought him up. But after this conversation he said that if what he stands for on the above website is true, things which he agrees with, then he and his family would get behind Ron.
Finally we have a living statesman who has honor and integrity unlike the men without chests today. Here is a humble man, who, without any help and a complete blackout by the media, and to their astonishment, is able to very quickly gather a multitude of grassroots supporters like none other in history. There is a new movement picking up pace that some are calling the Ron Paul Revolution. This is a very late last minute chance for America to get things right. America is financially and morally at the brink of collapse and there is no other candidate that offers any solution to this problem but Ron Paul. I have been fairly certain for the last 5 years that Clinton would be the 2008 President but that certainty has really been challenged lately. That sober and dreadful concern has been replaced with hope of a better day.
I would like to address the Dr. Dobson Evangelical community right now. Who are you going to vote for? The last two terms you voted for one that failed to live up to their promises. You are disillusioned like so many others. You know that none of the 'front' Republicans can give you the votes to win against Clinton. These men are just the same kind of men we have had for so long. They are not even true conservatives. There are going to be far less votes for them then there were for Bush. And just as I predicted last year, the seats went to the Democrats for the same reason. So what are you going to do? Ron Paul is someone you can get behind. He is a true conservative. And he is also stronger on protecting America than any of the others. He is also now a front runner and is gaining popularity by the day and with each debate. Don't let big business propaganda confuse you about Ron Paul as has Dr. Dobson and company. Take a real look at the man and his record and compare it with all your alternatives. I know you will find him not merely some lesser evil but clearly the greater good. His foreign policy has been misunderstood and twisted. In fact it really is the solution for US in regards to our national and personal safety and economy. You may have only listened to one side of the debate, as big business is effective in keeping it that way. Just look at how much time they give him in the debates compared to the others, and yet he wins the debates! But I urge you to make careful inquiry and judge righteously. Don't allow yourselves to be enslaved by popular opinion and big business, which is selling you out by the day, but take hold of the facts and use your influence to stand for the truth.
This is truly a defining moment in American history. We have come to a day when the modern political philosophy has reshaped our country and gradually eroded away most of the fundamental ideals the United States was founded upon. These ideals are what draws so many people to this country. These ideals drew me to this country. But when you get here you realize that things are not the same as they were yesterday. It is less and less, land of the free and hope of the brave. The defining moment pertains to the decision we have to make right now. Shall we reject the United States as represented in our constitution and founding documents and fully and finally replace it with this new philosophy that results in what we see every day? We actually find that our times are not singular, but are very similar to those over 200 years ago when bureaucrats were arbitrarily running the day for big business at the expense of the common man. So what will you do? You can either vote for big business and vote away all your rights and protections in the constitution; or you can ignore voting altogether and let the same thing happen; or you can do what you can to become informed and vote for the only one with the track record to preserve the Constitution and serve the American people responsibly.
